The following was taken from the Yorkshire Regiment website
Killed in action 4 Jun 1918. France & Flanders and included on Egglescliffe’s Memorial and was living there on enlistment. He was born in Yarm and his brother Harry is buried in Yarm Cemetery and that is probably why he was eventually included on Yarms war memorial. He was not listed on the original stone but weas included on the parish church tablet in 1952 and copied onto the new memorial tablets in 1962.
